SPRING 2006
LIFE HISTORY ISSUE
University of Sussex Journal of Contemporary History (USJCH) is an
innovative on-line journal that provides a medium for publication in the
postgraduate community and disseminates creative, critical, and
inter-disciplinary historical research.
We are currently inviting articles for submission for Issue 10,
Spring 2006, on the theme of ‘Life History’. This includes oral history,
autobiography, journals, letters, and personal testimony as both a genre
and methodology of historical research. We are also inviting
submissions for our new ‘Reviews’ section.
We welcome submissions in any area of contemporary history.
Suggested topics include: new technologies and life history; memory,
language and self-representation; ethics and empowerment; the role of
critical theory in narrative analysis; community and work histories;
public history and the archive.
