For a formal model of digital libraries (which could inform the
development of such a model for repositories) there's also:
M.A Gonçalves EA Fox, LT Watson, NA Kipp. Streams, structures, spaces,
scenarios, societies (5S): a formal model for digital libraries. ACM
Transactions on Information Systems, 22(2), 2004
http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/984321.984325
p9 lists their taxonomy of digital library terms
(caveat - I don't pretend to understand this paper once it starts
getting into the formal maths but think its a useful illustration of the
complexity of the problem - personally I think, Blinco and McLean's
typology is much more accessible)
cheers,
John
