Subject: Channel Four Documentary
Dear Tom
I wonder if you can help me out?
I am an assistant producer researching a Channel Four documentary about how young people with profound physical disabilities feel about relationships, sex and growing up. I would like to find out more about young people's attitudes towards forming social, romantic and physical relationships, and what they think of the opportunities available to them to socialise, make friends and meet boy/girlfriends. I am also interested in sex education, I am finding many young people who are not getting the advice they need, do you know of any good sex therapists or teachers who run disabled sex workshops or similar?
If you think you might be able to help me out by putting me in touch with some appropriate people who could answer a few questions and generally share their point of view and help me make a more informed and important documentary then please call me on 01273 224800 or drop me a line to [log in to unmask] It would be great to talk to late teens or early 20s who would like a relationship.
Ricochet make a variety of television programmes, including Born to be Different which is about six children who were all born with different disabilities who we have followed since birth and Wanted: New Mum and Dad which followed children through the process of adoption from their perspective.
Many Thanks.
