I see quite a lot of different culture's magico-religious material in the
Golden Dawn, including Egyptian - gosh what an eclectic mix it was / is, but
so effective, I think. Regarding the G:.D:. being "Egyptienne", I was really
thinking from a visual angle - which is why it seemed fine to me for
Egyptienne to also describe something to do with interior decorating like
wallpaper - perhaps it's my fine arts background asserting itself?. When I
look at pictures of members in say, Mary Greer's "Women of the Golden Dawn",
I'm seeing some excellent 'Egyptienne' outfits - especially in the picture
of Mr and Mrs Mathers as the Hierophant Ramses and the High Priestess Anari
on page 249.!
