When you type a pound sign, PC users (I am one) see 'angstrom-pound', ie

My BT-Yahoo account is spam-free but has classified quite a lot of
non-spam as spam, for both me and my Mac-using partner.
My main mail etc is through zetnet, through which we both get modest
amount of spam. (I still have no use for a larger p***s...)

Some email attachments my partner sends from his Mac are difficult for
me to open, some are fine...
