Members of this list may be interested in our work at CosmicSky, where we
have embarked on a journey of engaging the public by leading them to a
deeper, more profound sense of understanding and appreciation of the
Universe and our place within it.
For this purpose we designed and built a semi-portable immersive theatre
(The CosmicSpace) and started the production of automated shows using all
round visual imagery, poetry and surround sound. The shows are
contemplative and meditative in nature and focus on merging the beauty of
nature in its widest sense with the language of science, art, poetry and
philosophy.
There will be another opportunity to experiece CosmicSky (sorry about the
short notice) and below is our invitation. Please let us know. It will be
nice to welcome you there.
Best regards,
Francisco Diego and Gill Russell

CosmicSky returns to LONACH Hall
After a successful UK tour, the NESTA funded CosmicSky domed theatre will
land once again in the historic setting of the Lonach Hall, Strathdon,
Aberdeenshire, to finish the tour where it began exactly one year ago.
The touring show mixes art poetry and astronomy and has already wowed
audiences of over 10,000 people in four large-scale public venues all over
the UK: an art gallery, a science centre, a medieval castle and a concert
hall.
Inside the CosmicSky theatre, visitors will be invited to sit back, relax,
and travel through space and time on a journey of discovery, wonder and
amazement. CosmicSky is at the Lonach Hall from Sat 12 to Wed 15 August and
open to the public for two events Sun 13 August.
CosmicSky is a collaboration between artist Gill Russell, astronomer Dr
Francisco Diego and poet Brian Hill.
