Hi Dom
You may recall that when we spoke a while ago, I mentioned that there may be a possibility of the School bursary scheme growing in size.
The good news is that the trustees of the Nuffield Foundation have approved the decision to expand both the school bursary scheme and the undergraduate bursary scheme, which means both schemes will increase in size significantly over the next two or three years (we are aiming to make the school bursary scheme available to 2000 students a year).
Obviously this has very definite implications on how both schemes are run and are looking to recruit a national coordinator for the school bursary scheme. This person who will develop a strategy for the best way to increase the size of the scheme. The position has been advertised today in The Guardian, and will be advertised in the New Scientist towards the end of the week.
Thanks for your help with this.
Best wishes
Jo.
