The Institute of Physics has just launched Camp Energy - Survival of the
Physicists.
For the duration of the Cheltenham Science Festival (7-11 June 2006) four
intrepid physics students will be pitting their wits against the
environment in a bid to survive using only energy that they have generated
themselves through sustainable means. Whilst camping out in Cheltenham
Town Hall’s gardens, Michelle Cain, Anthea Cain, Andrea Taroni and Tom
Whyntie will take on different energy-based challenges each day in order
to highlight how physics can reduce their carbon footprint – a measure of
their impact on the environment.
