Research Councils UK (RCUK) is a strategic partnership set up to
champion science, engineering and technology supported by the eight UK
Research Councils.
The new RCUK Group on Science in Society was set up on 1st April 2005.
The group covers the following areas:
* raising public awareness of, and engagement in, science and
innovation
* science in schools
This post is for a Science in Society Manager in the RCUK Science in
Society Unit, which is hosted by the ESRC (Economic and Social Research
Council).
The successful candidate should have an understanding of science
communication and issues relating to Science in Society.
