The International Electrotechnical Commission, now in its centenary year, seeks short articles on figures in the history of electrical science, technology and computing (see list below ranging over 2000 years) to supplement its online survey at http://www.iec.ch/100years/techline/

An example of the type of information I'm looking for is the article written by E. Philip Krider, Professor in the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the University of Arizona in Tucson, on "Benjamin Franklin and Lightning Rods" -
