In the batch file, I have set random password for each user account.
This is redundant now because we are using LDAP for authentication.

Subject: Batch creating users and passwords
Hi All,
The "Batch Create" option (in the GUI) states that a password is
required, but today I created a user without including a password in the
batch data file. All I used were three fields: userid, surname and
forename. The system created the account and I was able to login using
the userid as the password.
I have had feedback for Blackboard that this is intended functionality;
however, given the inconsistency with the statement in the GUI, Bb has
also created a support case to review this further.
In the meantime for anyone who may be concerned about the
userid=password condition simply make sure that the batch user creation
files are correctly formatted and include a password for each user.
Regards,
Arthur Loughran
