Archaeological Science Internship in Environmental Archaeology

English Heritage is supporting placements for young professionals, to
increase capacity in archaeological science. An internship is available in
either archaeobotany or archaeo-entomology at the Department of Archaeology,
University of York.
During the 11 month full-time internship, you will work on assemblages of
either plant or insect macrofossils, developing skills in practical,
analytical and interpretive methods, including techniques relevant to the
commercial sector within PPG16 guidelines.
Ideally you will have a good first degree in a relevant subject (Biology,
Archaeology, Environmental Science), with at least 12 months subsequent work
experience in British archaeology, or a post-graduate qualification, or
comparable practical experience in archaeology.
Salary will be £14,372 per annum.
