True enough.
However, from various answers I have received (and thanks to the
respondents)it seems that it is more likely that water will leach out the
cyanogenetic glucosides, increasing the chances of cyanide poisoning. That
being said, it seems that you would have to eat an awful lot of cherries to
be significantly affected by this.
One interesting snippet of information was the question, did cherries kill
the 12th President of the US?
