Not unless there's an excellent monthly magazine. That letters
beget other letters does seem a little crazy. If we all
qualify for CSci,then what further distinctions would be
necessary? As W S Gilbert wrote (in,I think, The
Gondoliers) "if everybody is a somebody, then nobody is an
anybody")
Perhaps once one has CSci, it might be possible to get the
ARS or Aspirant to the Royal Society. However, I highly
recommend the Chartered Chemist/MRSC which targets primary
degrees in chemistry and is strict in what experience is
acceptable and furthermore requires written recommendations
from existing members. The monthly magazine is also excellent.
