Preparation of World Youth Report 2007 Underway
The World Youth Report 2007 (WYR07) will examine the challenges and
opportunities existing for the roughly 1.2 billion youth between the
ages of 15 and 24 in the world. Distinct from the 2003 and 2005
editions, it will provide a regional overview summarizing the major
youth development issues in the fifteen priority areas of the World
Programme of Action for Youth, including employment, education,
health, poverty and violence. Simultaneously, it will highlight youth
as a positive force for development and provide recommendations for
supporting their essential contributions to national and global
development. The WYR07 is expected to launched next year.
