Colleagues....
RE: TV Documentary & Dark Tourism (Vietnam & Cambodia)
I posted a note to these lists a few months ago, detailing a proposed
Television Documentary on dark tourism which has been commissioned by
Barna-Alpher Productions, who are based in Canada. Many thanks to all of
you who responded to that initial call. For more information on the dark
tourism concept and this TV project, please visit
www.dark-tourism.org.uk
I'm delighted to announce that pre-production research is now well
underway. As a result, Barna-Alpher have decided to focus upon several
destinations and countries to create a 'story' of dark tourism. Two of
those countries will be Vietnam and Cambodia.
In order to access the 'dark tourism' market in these particular
countries, and allow us to interview and film the 'story characters' -
we require help. In particular, we need to find people within industry
who deliver or promote tourist attractions, exhibitions or tours with a
seemingly 'dark or macabre theme' within these countries (e.g. war
related / Killing Fields related / torture / suffering / etc); and who
are willing to take part in this project by allowing Barna-Alpher and
their production crew access to their 'products'.
Hence, the people / organisations we need for this TV project may
offer, promote or deliver tourist products and services in Vietnam and
Cambodia (e.g. tour operator, guide, museum curator, government
official, etc), and may or may not reside or work in these countries.
If anyone can help us with this TV project by aiding our access to this
'dark tourism' market, either through your own research and / or
personal contacts in these countries, then we shall be delighted to hear
from you. In the first instance and for further information, please
reply to me off-list at [log in to unmask]
Look forward to chatting with some of you.
Kind Regards
PHIL
On behalf of Barna-Alpher Productions Inc,.
