I recently installed SPM 5.0 for some of our users. Subsequently, a
problem was reported to me, which I've been able to confirm. I'm a
novice at SPM (which probably makes two of us!), but nevertheless what
I'm seeing looks to me more like a bug than user error. I've just joined
the list, and am reporting it here, in case anybody can confirm this
observation (or even better, post a solution/fix :-). The specific
action which my colleague wished to perform was to run an external
Matlab .m file from the SPM Utils menu.
1. Version: SPM 5.0
2. Matlab version: 7.1
3. Platform: Windows (XP)
4. Actions:
1. Start SPM (command 'Matlab.exe -nojvm -nosplash -minimize'
was issued with current directory set to SPM installation
directory, wherein a startup.m containing the single command
'spm' was placed)
2. Click on fMRI time-series (although I believe behaviour is
similar for the alternative options)
3. From Utils menu, choose 'Run mFile'
4. File browser appears, but *only folders/directories appear*
(in particular no mfiles are shown)
5. Filter is set to .* by default - neither this nor obvious
variations on this appear to make any difference
5. Unable to proceed further :-(
Any ideas? Has anybody else seen this?
Thanks for any advice,
George
