Dear All
I went to a local OHN group meeting last week & we had an HSE inspector
(ex OHN) talk about the HSE's campaign to reduce Occ Asthma & dermatitis
aiming mainly at the metal working & baker industries. Most of us found
it very interesting but what I found would be very influencing were the
posters that one can get from the HSE website.
My favorite showed a worker in full RPE & the other in a hospital bed
with an O2 mask with the question: "Which mask would you rather wear?"
Very graphic & hard hitting indeed, worth checking it out if any of you
deal with resp sensitisers.
I am finding the debate about NMC registration etc interesting. I was
fortunate enough to choose a degree course that was already validated by
the NMC. I had to mix with HV & Practice nurses but I found it very
interesting as I see OH very much part of the larger public health
picture too!
Regards
Maudie
