Colleagues, randomised controlled trials in ethnic minority populations in
the UK are extremely rare, and finding a person with the appropriate
experiences for this fairly unique study will be challenging. I am writing
to enlist your help, and I would consider it a great favour if you would
take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to do so. The advertisement for
the post is attached, and the same material is reproduced below the
signature (without the formatting). The post will appear on the University
of Edinburgh's personnel website and jobs.ac.uk very shortly (until then,
the vacancy reference number is not available).
I am hoping that:
recipients will send this message on to potential applicants, and
particularly to appropriate lists e.g. Gordon Murray to the list of
statisticians; Dave du Feu to the CHS list; Cairns Smith to the heads of
academic departments for notice boards etc; Rafik Gardee to contacts of the
National Resource Centre; Kiran Patel to the South Asian health foundation
lists; Paul Lincoln to the NHF network and possibly the electronic
newsletter; Marlie Ferencie to MRC funded trial units etc. I have also sent
this to a few people who may be potential applicants, or that I think would
know of potential applicants.
Once again, I would be grateful if you would help to cascade this
information, and I thank you in advance.
