Calling all members! - Calling new members!

MmITS (Multimedia Information and Technology Group, Scotland) aims to
unite those members of CILIP Multimedia and Information Technology Group
who are living and working in Scotland. Its members are engaged or
interested in multimedia information and technology developments.

MmITS enables communication and promotes professional interests across
Scotland and across the library and information sectors. As a member of
MmITS you will know that the Group has a very successful track record,
particularly in staging events and in publications.

Much of this work is undertaken, with welcome support from other
members, and often in conjunction other CILIPS Groups, by the active
Committee (http://www.slainte.org.uk/mmits/committee.htm)

Caling all members - your Group needs you!
As a member we hope you will come along to the AGM (see below). In
addition to the business part of the meeting, there will be
presentations on the BBC Creative Archive
(http://creativearchive.bbc.co.uk) and Education Media Online
(http://www.emol.ac.uk) ... and of course the usual chance to catch up
with colleagues over refreshments!
We would like to encourage you to put yourself forward for the
Committee. Committee work allows you to contribute to the Group,
provides great experiences and good fun, is great for the CV, and
doesn't take much time out of your life! Contact Paulette Hill (MmITS
Honorary Sectretary) to put yourself forward -

The Committee also encourages all members to introduce a colleague or
friend to the Group by bringing them along to the AGM. It's great to
see new faces and we all benefit from attracting new members to the
Group.

Calling for new members - actively seeking new membership!
If you are not already a member, why not become involved in MmITS? Come
along to our AGM on 23rd March 2006 (further details below) and find out
about the work of the Group over the past year. You will also hear
about new developments from our two presentations on the Creative
Archive (http://creativearchive.bbc.co.uk) and on Education Media Online
(http://www.emol.ac.uk). All this, plus a great chance to meet other
members who share your interests over refreshments! If you have any
questions about joing the Group contact Paulette Hille, Honorary
Secretary - [log in to unmask]
