UKeiG is proud to present
Knowledge Management - the next generation
to be held at
CILIP, 7 Ridgmount Street, London, WC1E 7AE
Friday, 22nd September 2006, 9.30 16.30
Course Outline
Chris Collison, Author of Learning to Fly, provides an interactive
course, designed to explore ways in which we can help knowledge management
to mature in our organizations. Chris will take a rounded view of
knowledge management, exploring such topics as structuring captured
knowledge, tools and processes for learning, communities of practice,
leadership behaviours and embedding knowledge management into company
processes. These tools and processes will be illustrated using colourful
examples, videos, mini case-studies and group discussion.
The day will incorporate first-hand experience of a number of learning and
KM tools including peer assist and after actions review tools.
Participants will also benchmark the KM capability of their respective
organizations analyzing the results using the River Diagram tool
pioneered in BP, and will each receive a copy of the excel-based tool to
use the approach in their own environments. The day will also incorporate
time to learn from each others experiences in implementing different
aspects of knowledge management, and is designed to enable each
participant to leave with a number of ideas and options to progress KM in
their organizations.
