Trainers
Hello Deirdre and all
We have an East of England Trainers Group called EEHIST (East of England
Healthcare Information Skills Trainers).
We aim to support the training of health and social care staff in the
use of electronic healthcare information resources and to represent the
East of England on the National Core Content Technical Reference Group.
Our membership consists of healthcare information skills trainers in the
WDC areas of Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire; Essex; and Norfolk, Suffolk &
Cambridgeshire: and other information professionals with an interest in
National Core Content resources.
Our remit is
* To share, develop and evaluate best practice, expertise and
knowledge
* To develop links with other training initiatives
* To canvass and discuss stakeholder opinion on the functionality
of the core content resources
* To identify current problems with and identify possible
technical improvements to the National Core Content service
* To communicate developments to colleagues
We meet on a quarterly basis and feedback to our Regional Librarians
Group ECLaKSA.
More details about us can be found at www.eclaksa.nhs.uk and look under
SIGs.
Best wishes
Katherine

Subject: Are there any networks out there for Library Skills Trainers
Dear All
We are considering setting up a network of NHS Library and Information
Skills Trainers in the North East. The purpose of the network would be
to give support and advice to each other, share best practice, share
ideas for promoting and publicising training, share resources (training
books and literature), discuss issues around standardising training.
We would be interested to know if there are any other trainer networks
out there and how they operate. We would also like to hear from anyone
would be interested in getting involved in a network.
