The next meeting of the Chemical Information Group
will be a joint meeting with the Computer Applications
Subject Group and Chemical Structure Association
Trust. This one-day meeting will be held on Wednesday
1st November, at The Royal Society of Chemistry,
Burlington House, Piccadilly, London.
The meeting will be similar to the successful one-day
training course held jointly with the CSA Trust two
years ago. Topics to be covered include:-
"What makes Chemical Information different"
"Searching for Chemicals on the Internet"
"Chemical Structure Drawing Packages"
"Overview of Structure Databases on STN"
"How to search for chemical structures - Substructure
"The RSC's Virtual Library, and Information Services"
"Introduction to Reaction Searching"
This meeting represents extremely good value for
money, as the cost is only £30 for CIG and CASG
members, and £40 for non-members, including coffee,
tea and lunch (CIG membership costs £5 per year to
members of the RSC or affiliated organisations).
