Here at Rave we are intending to sign up for the Trial Scanning Licence
along with the existing photocopying provision.
I would be interested to know how colleagues are dealing with the
monitoring of any scanning taking place - do you operate a "gatekeeper"
policy where scanned material can only be uploaded to the intranet/VLE
by one person (thus centralising the monitoring of scans), or will
"Designated Persons" create their own scanning records
(which will then be collated).
If you could let me know the pros and cons of administering the
monitoring role at your institution, I will happily provide a summary
for the list.
