The Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) is pleased to announce
that bookings are now open for its Innovation and Development Fund
Showcase. This Conference will help delegates gain new insights and
discover new ways of applying their professional expertise across a range
of situations and sectors.
The showcase event will take place on Wednesday 14th June from 10am to
3pm at Glasgow Metropolitan College and will feature presentations from
organisations who received funding from the Innovation and Development
Programme during 2005.
Featured organisations include:
• The Centre for Digital Library Research who will discuss the CMS
Metadata Interoperability Project
• Ayrshire Libraries Forum who have been working towards a Resource
Sharing Scotland
• Dundee City Council will share their experience of innovative
planning and partnership for special user groups in Project Wishart
• Falkirk Council will showcase their pioneering initiative,
Homebound Users Online
• Scottish Borders will talk about their adult learning project,
Help Yourself to Learning.
A full programme for the day will be issued shortly.
The event is free to organisations in membership of SLIC (1 delegate per
organisation) and £140 per delegate for those not in membership of SLIC.

Cancellation Policy
Substitutions may be made at any time right up until the day of the event.
Cancellations will be accepted by e-mail to [log in to unmask] without
charge up until 4 working days prior to the event after which time the
full fee will be due.
Where there is no charge for attendance a fee of £30 will be charged
to “no-shows” received
