Change in the Workplace

Changes at work affect us all - some we have control over, others we don't. Many of us are at the receiving end of change, others of us are responsible for managing change and its impact on others - often we may find ourselves in both positions at different times! This one-day workshop aims to show us how to cope with change from both a personal and managerial point of view. Practical exercises will be included so that participants can exchange examples of good and bad practice in the workplace.
The objectives of the workshop are to introduce participants to -
The transition stages of change and possible actions to be taken at each stage
Positive and negative responses to change and effective ways of dealing with them
The key skills used by managers to communicate and implement change
FACILITATOR: Lawraine Wood
Lawraine is a Fellow of Cilip and has spent over 18 years working as an information professional. Since 1993, Lawraine has followed a career in information education and training, setting up her own training and consultancy business in 1997. Lawraine has kept her hand in as a lecturer, teaching management to post-graduates in a part-time capacity at Manchester Metropolitan University. She also finds time to work for Sue Hill Recruitment and Services as her representative in the North and Scotland.
