This is a quick email to say that the "Institutional Web Management Workshop
2006: Quality Matters" 3 day workshop, to be held at the University of Bath
on 14-16 June, is almost full. This may mean that we may close bookings in
advance of the closing date. So if you are thinking of attending, we suggest
you submit your booking as soon as possible.
The workshop Web site is available at:

<http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/web-focus/events/workshops/webmaster-2006/>
Note that as well as covering many of the topics areas which are often
addressed on these lists, this year we will be addressing issues with
institutional use of library-related areas. Of particular interest may be
plenary talks on "Managing Standards - Delivering a Quality Assured Web
Environment", "Delivering Information: Document vs. Content" and "What Does
Openness Mean to the Web Manager?" together with parallel sessions on "The
Rise and Rise of Digital Repositories: Communication and Quality",
"Archiving the Web: What can Institutions learn from National and
International Web Archiving Initiatives", "Writing for the Web", "Sharing
and Exploring Team Knowledge with Wikis", ""FOUND IT! Using Information
Architecture and Web Management to Help the User Succeed and "Search
Technology within the University Environment".
Thanks
Brian (on behalf of Marieke Guy, this year's workshop chair)
