Would you like to find out more about innovative projects involving the archiving of UK web sites ? Then come along to the 2006 ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information Workers in the Social Sciences) http://www.lse.ac.uk/library/other_sites/aliss/ AGM on May 22nd at the British Library Conference Centre
Presenters will include representatives from :
* The British Library on a collaborative project for archiving general election 2005 websites
* The Women's Library at London Metropolitan University on the Women's Web site archiving project
* The National Archives on the development of their electronic records online collection and web archive.
The speakers will share their experiences and there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.
The afternoon will begin with a buffet lunch from12.30-1.30, followed by the AGM and then the main presentations. It will end at approximately 4.30pm.
This event is free to all ALISS members
Non-members may attend at a fee of £20.00 but cannot vote during the AGM
