The Library and Information Group will hold its Spring meeting in the
Special Collections Department at Cardiff University Library on Wednesday
22nd March.
The event begins at 2.30pm with a talk by Dr Bill Bell, Co-Director of the
Centre for the History of the Book at the University of Edinburgh,
entitled 'St Jerome in Antarctica: The Library in Exile', which promises a
journey through the visual representation of libraries under strange skies
from Jerome in the desert, to Prospero, to Crusoe, to Robert Falcon Scott.
This will be followed at 3.30pm by an introduction and brief tour of the
Special Collections Department at Cardiff University Library by Peter
Keelan, Head of Special Collections and Archives.
