Hello Lynda,
I'm replying to you on the list as your posting may raise questions with other candidates.
First, congratulations on completing your application.
The reason that we know your application will not be seen at the October Board is that we have a cut off point (a month before the next Board meeting) after which we do not send portfolios to our assessors. They are all volunteers and it is important that they have time to complete their assessments without being inundated with new ones. They have a full workload assessing new applications, looking at reports of interviews, addenda and rejected applications (which have to be seen by all the members of the Board). We are happy to and do explain this to candidates who call the office.
The meeting after the 4th October is the 29th November not in early November but I should make it clear that we do not guarantee which Board will make a decision on candidates' applications. The Chartership timeline explains why applications can take several months or more: http://www.cilip.org.uk/qualificationschartership/FrameworkofQualifications/charteredmem/chartershiptimeline.htm
If you are unsuccessful the decision on what new material to include will be up to you, and it's wise to take advice at that point. Much will depend on how current the evidence is that you are submitting.
Good luck with the assessment.
With best wishes
Michael

Subject: Chartership submission (2002 regs) Route A
Hi-
I posted off my completed PDR and portfolio to CILIP yesterday (at long
last!!!).
I called CILIP earlier today to find out when the next chartership marking
panel would be meeting. They're due to meet in early Oct, but I was told
that mine would not be assessed until the next meeting in early Nov.
However, my submission should reach CILIP by Friday at the latest (15th
Sept). Can anyone explain the delay to me?
In addition, I'm due to start a new job soon. If my submission is
unsuccessful, will I have to include details of my new job role in the
rewrite?
Thanks,
Lynda
