This may be of interest to those of you working with people with Down
syndrome specifically, and please do pass on to anyone who may be

Subject: UK Down Syndrome Research Forum 19/20 October 2006
To all UK Down syndrome researchers and postgraduate students
You are cordially invited to the next meeting of the UK Down Syndrome
Research Forum to be held at The Sarah Duffen Centre, Portsmouth on the
19th and 20th October, 2006. with the support of The Down Syndrome
Educational Trust.
The meeting will start at 10.30 on 19th October and finish at 3pm on
20th October (these times can be adjusted to suit participants). The
Forum is a friendly support group for those working in the area of Down
syndrome research. The format, for those new to the Forum, is informal
presentations of work in progress by those attending. The group really
are very helpful to one another and shared work or useful advice on how
to take a project forward have been outcomes from earlier meetings. The
Trust will provide buffet lunches on both days and there is no fee for
attending. We can advise on bed and breakfast accommodation at
reasonable prices but at present the Trust is not able to subsidise
travel or accommodation costs, though we would like to be able to and
may be able to in the future.
If you plan to attend, please let Sue Buckley([log in to unmask])
know as soon as possible, with the title of any presentation that you
wish to make and as we are now putting a programme together.
Please do forward this invitation on to any colleagues who you think
would be interested in attending.
