Hello Everyone,
I am currently doing a PhD at Cranfield University whilst also working as a
Support Worker and Person Centred Planning Facilitator for adults with
learning disabilities. I love my job, but am ready to move on and to enter
a role that would complement my PhD and health psychology career desires. I
keep up to date with jobs being advertised here and on the DHP website, as
well as going through the Guardian newspaper every Wednesday. However, I
would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have some advice on other
methods I may be able to use in my career search. I have considered the
less conventional method of sending my CV to organisations and institutions
that I have a particular interest in, but I am not sure how acceptable this
is. So, any feedback on conventional and unconventional job hunting skills
would be greatly appreciated.
Best Wishes,
Nicola Davies
