Ken - you could do worse than contact Dan Kile ([log in to unmask]) who is
an extraordinary mine of information on optical instruments and who may
be able to help. Another possible source of help are the numerous
discussion groups on the web run for and by collectors. I don't have any
handy addresses, but my student found a few long-working-distance
objectives for our Leitz set-up this way.
If you are desperate to get a working U-stage quickly you may be better
off trying to get hold of a Leitz or a Zeiss - they are far more common.
They even come up on Ebay at times.
