We wish to advertise a competition for 2 levels of PhD scholarship for
non-Australian students with very good to outstanding academic records and
referee reports. The applicantıs interests have to accord with those of
staff on our web site at http://www.es.jcu.edu.au/
1. International Earth Science Stipend Scholarships of AUD $18500 tax free
per year (for a max of 3 years).
2. International Earth Science Stipend Support Scholarships of AUD $2000 tax
free per year (for max of 3 years) for students attempting to find support
through external sources.
The closing date for this round of scholarship offers is March 8th, 2006. To
apply please send the following to Prof. T.H. Bell, School of Earth

A. A certified copy of your academic record in an envelope postmarked before
or on March 8, 2006.
B. A completed application form to enrol in a PhD in an envelope postmarked
before or on March 8, 2006.

C. You need to download and send 3 copies of the referees form to 3 suitable
academic referees and ask them to fill them out confidentially and fax them
to us by March 8, 2006 plus mail the originals.
