The full programme for the BUFVC¹s annual Learning on Screen Conference is

Taking place on 19 and 20 September 2006, the Conference is being held at
the Old Library in the Custard Factory in Birmingham, to promote and
celebrate excellence in the production, study and use of moving pictures
and related media in teaching, learning, training and research. The event
provides an excellent meeting place for teachers, librarians, broadcasters,
digital media producers, distributors, service providers, and technology
vendors.
The Conference features four themes ¬ Large Scale Moving Image and Sound
Digitisation Projects; Virtual Learning Environments - proprietary and open
source; Copyright Issues and New Licences; Innovation, Podcasting and
Satellite Television.
The winners of the 2006 Learning on Screen Awards will also be announced at
the Awards Dinner on the evening of September 19, hosted by Robert
Llewellyn (HOLLYWOOD SCIENCE, RED DWARF, SCRAPHEAP CHALLENGE) and Dr
Jonathan Hare (HOLLYWOOD SCIENCE, ROUGH SCIENCE). The shortlist and entry
descriptions for the Awards are now available on the BUFVC website at
