But if you've sent me an email as part of a bulk mailing (legitimately I
hope!) where it's

.. to: [log in to unmask]
.. and only bcc: [log in to unmask]
wouldn't most such schemes decide to bounce it? This was the rough and
ready treatment that Jethro was worried about, and "likely to cause more
harm than good".
