*Assistant or Associate Professor*
The *Centre of Criminology and Woodsworth College* invite applications
for a tenure-stream appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate
Professor to begin July 1, 2007.
The Centre of Criminology is an inter-disciplinary graduate Centre for
the study of crime, criminal justice, social regulation, and the
interaction between law and society, in Canada and internationally. The
Centre takes a broad view of criminological and socio-legal research,
and welcomes applicants from any field within the social sciences and
humanities that relates to its broadly-defined mandate.
Applicants should have a completed doctorate at the time of appointment
and have demonstrated promise of excellence in teaching and in scholarly
research and publication. As the appointment is shared (60% Criminology,
40% Woodsworth College), the appointee will be expected to teach courses
in the undergraduate programme in Criminology at Woodsworth College and
in the graduate programmes (M.A and Ph.D.) at the Centre of
Criminology. Salary will be commensurate with experience and
qualifications.
