Dear all,
We tried to fit a hierarchical model with BRugs (Open Bugs) with data that
contains missing values. In fact, we have NA's in both, dependent and
explanatory variables. We imputed those of explanatory variables because
we think that BUGS cannot handle with this type of missings.
Our problem, however, is that we cannot impute NA's in the dependent
variable. Once the model is checked and compiled, we have a lot of
problems with the generation of initial values. I mean, we provide initial
values as a list and, we think, we need to generate NA (well the program
will generate them for us) by means of the instruction modelGenInits().
The problem is we do not know how to combine this instruction with BRugsFit.
Any help is wellcome
Marc
