The programme of this summer's Reading and Reception Studies seminars is
appended below.
Our first meeting will be an illustrated presentation by Gilles Soubigou
on May 2nd. His PowerPoint presentation on French images of Sir Walter
Scott was one of the highlights of last summer's Scott Conference in
Cambridge.
Our 'Travels to the Exotic' series was launched at Clare Hall in March
with Alison Martin's paper on Georg Forster as a translator of travel
accounts. It continues there with two further papers on consecutive
Thursdays in May: by Tim Fulford and Jenny Mander.
We hope you'll be able to join us.
With best wishes,
Elinor Shaffer
Convenor
