My colleague has just spoken to the SLC and they have informed us that the
ACRs will be being sent out today along with a covering letter informing HEIs
that the return date has been extended to 12th January.

Our January bursaries are also using the ACR as the trigger. The date
the students are meant to be getting their award in their account is the
11th January. Using the schedule outlined in the HEBSS handbook, this
means that the payment process will start on the 27th December. I just
hope that in light of this delay, the returned ACRs are processed in
time to ensure the students get their bursaries!

We've only just received the 2005/6 ACR, with dates similar to those
you've mentioned. I was speaking to the SLC regarding a HEBSS query
earlier in the week and asked about the 2006/7 ACR. I was told it had
been dealyed due to technical problems but that it would be dispatched
by courier at the end of this week.
We are also using the ACR as our trigger to pay bursaries in
mid-January, so I would have preferred it sooner rather than later!

Lynda
No more on this but a week ago I received a 2005/6 ACR that showed the
position at the end of September, the letter inside was dated 27/10/06
and the envelope postmarked 26/11/06.
Given that we, like probably a number of institutions have set our
bursary payment date on the basis of having received the first set of
fees, this is not particularly welcome news.
But I have to confess to being past the point where anything the SLC do
surprises me.
