'Digital Deluge: History in the 21st Century' on 17 Nov at the IHR, London.
Organised by the AHC-UK and AHDS–History this conference explores the
challenges facing historians from the increasing volume of electronic and
digital sources. These sources can often be incomplete, difficult to access
and to preserve, but they also provide new opportunities for research,
teaching and collaboration. Five experts in their field will provide
perspectives from archiving, scholarship, research, teaching and e-science.
Together, these perspectives may enable historians to harness the digital
deluge rather than be swamped by it. The format of the conference will allow
presenters to cover issues in depth and provide participants ample time for
discussion.
