Shooting with High Definition Video

In this exciting one-day workshop Mike will take a non-technical approach
towards understanding the operation of HDV video cameras.
Delegates will:
* Understand the implications of shooting with high definition formats.
* Shoot their own high definition footage as part of a two person
production crew.
* Learn about MPEG2 compression and GOP encoding.
* Understand down conversion from High to Standard definition.
* Review editing software programmes with HDV capability
This is a small hands on workshop providing delegates with the opportunity
to shoot a film style sequence on HDV using the Sony Z1 1080i Camera. All
the operational features of the camera will be explained and delegates will
have the opportunity to have their queries answered.
Mike Raycroft began his career in television and has spent time working at
ITN where he devised many production training programmes, culminating in ITN
winning a national training award. He has continued designing and managing
large-scale training programmes for new digital start-up stations around the
world. As well as running his own training consultancy, he also manages a
production company working on corporate and broadcast productions.
