We put everything on our 24 hour library page.

However the biggest two marketing practises that have worked were:
* putting a direct button on screens on PN machines, so that customers can
access our e-stock without logon or timing
* Demonstration during homework sessions with children
I have also used our IP mapped newspaper database to send articles urls to
IT staff, and others to keep up awareness of our services: "saw this and
thought of you..."

Hi Jon,
Have you tried to get links on other local websites which are relevant to
the content of your e-resources e.g. Businesslink or Chamber of Commerce for
business information; Netmums for family friendly/children's resources.
I have to say it's not something we have yet tried with the London Libraries
website www.londonlibraries.org.uk but intend to when we have more user
friendly descriptions for the resources - at the moment we have a quick and
dirty solution - a spreadsheet listing resource by title only (but how many
members of the public would know what EBSCO or FAME are?) and indicating
which London Borough has a subscription and whether remote access is
possible - but we're planning something better for the new year.
I hope this is useful
regards

Hello all
Does anyone have any good ideas for ways to promote e-resources? We flag up
the sites we subscribe to on the home pages of our individual websites but
don't really go any further to promote them. We're very aware that we pay a
significant amount for subscriptions but don't get very high usage. All
suggestions gratefully received.
Many thanks
