I was intending a more deconstructive move, following the work of Starling
and the fluidity of 'the river' which had a performative role in his work
... So that, from moving from Kip's question: 'research-art', or
'art-research' and re-presenting this as 'research/art' or 'art/research', I
was wanting to go beyond the "in-between, the space of possibility and
potential that comes from the encounter (or missed encounter) between one
and the other", to suggest the fluidity of not one, or the other, or the
space in-between, but both and neither, but something constantly being
constructed/deconstructed
