Note that the BAJR website the term used is investigation of metal
artefacts, not analysis. The contractors concerned are generally
offering archaeological study of artefacts, i.e. typology, chronology
etc. When it comes to metal analysis the resource is limited to a much
smaller number of laboratories, like ourselves, who provide services for
these contractors. The number of specialists with a deep expertise in
slags is even more limited.
