Hello all,
I'm John Chapman, Metadata Librarian for the University of Minnesota
Libraries. I have been in this position for a year; previously, I had
worked as an archivist and researcher for the Minnesota Historical
Society. I also have experience as a technical writer, a corporate
reference librarian, and an image cataloger. I've used DC throughout my
career for various purposes. Most recently, I have been working with it
in conjunction with our OAI work.
I am excited to be able to participate in the review of RDA. I see the
RDA initiative as a great opportunity for librarians, catalogers, and
their allies- both to discuss concepts internally and define our work to
others.
