would this way work for documents having metadata in multiple languages - for example this way:
<meta name="DC.language" content="en" />
<meta name="DC.description" content="English description of data" />
<meta name="DC.language" content="de" />
<meta name="DC.description" content="Deutsche Beschreibung der Daten" />
I guess not?!
Another question I have got is about refinements regarding for example DC.title.alternative.
Given you have multiple titles, cause distributors chose multiple over time for example, how do you set alternatives to multiple titles.
Title A: Metaddata in the 21th Century [1]
Alternative to title A: Harvesting Metadata on the WWW [2]
Title B: Information about Information [3]
Alternative to title B: Finding and Indexing Information on the Web [4]
My goal is to make the alternative to title B a direct descendant to title B.
The current pierce of information can be described with Title A [1] and the corresponding alternative [2] but can _not_ be described with [1] and [4]
Lets forget HTML for a moment - For one pierce of information I have got meta information in two languages. I want to specify an English title, a German title and corresponding to those their alternative Titles. How do I achieve that.
In general it is not only about the language element itself which can nor about XHTML/HTML/XML.
My question targets cascading of metadata elements.

This is one way to do it in XHTML too, yes, but only works for the element language.
Is the following equivalent?:
Can you hint me at the documentation which explains following case (even if this implementation I suggest might be wrong):
<dc:title value="Hello World">
<dc:alternative>
Your First Program
</dc:alternative>
</dc:title>
<dc:title value="First Programming Steps">
<dc:alternative>
Your Computer can say Hello World
</dc:alternative>
</dc:title>

How exactly do I do this in:
-XML (for understanding purposes)
-HTML 4
Thanks in Advance
