Here's something to keep you all thinking over the Christmas period!
A future conference session - IFA 2007 probably - will include a session
on the Great Excavations, those that have shaped the profession. This
poll of Britarch members will contribute to the selection of excavations
chosen, and which prominent speakers will provide critique - where
possible this will be the excavation directors, or people who have made
use of their
results, or whose careers were shaped by the experience of working
there. So, simply - which Great Excavation would you like to see
Any of the following perhaps: Hamwic, the Mary Rose, Star Carr,
Boxgrove, Hambledon Hill, Danebury, Wharram Percy, Little
Woodbury, Nonsuch Palace, Heathrow's Terminal 5? Or something else?
