I asked this on one of my blogs at one point but I thought it worth asking
here.
Some people think that, like the U.S. Patent office 100 years ago, all that
needs to be said about the Hermetic Order of the GoldenDawn has already been
said and that current researches are just scraping the barrel. Someone said
this in the 80s after Ellic Howe's book came out.
However, this is clearly not true.
What I am curious about from people here is: What aspects of the Golden
Dawn, its organization, magical system of thought, members, etc. seem to be
strike people as having really interesting unasked (and unanswered)
questions?
This is oriented from an academic point of view so I can strike off
questions of "does their magical system work" and stick to the more
objective materials.
I'm interested in what people here think on the topic.
My purpose is to give myself food for thought for future research work,
either in the form of papers or presentations.
