Technologist/Web Developer
Within ICT/Product Development at New College Durham
Product Development is responsible for providing development, support
and maintenance of New College Durham's ICT Enterprise applications. The
services provided by the Product Development include:
Business applications and enterprise databases management,
web design and development,
learning technology support including use of the Blackboard VLE
systems programming and advice.
Product Development has a significant role to play in the Web Services
delivered across the College, including the design, development and
maintenance of all the Colleges web sites. It also has a significant
role to play in maintaining and developing the provision of the College
virtual learning environment, currently Blackboard, and its integration
with other College systems.
Product Development is based in the FE Building on the newly developed
New College Durham Framwellgate Moor Site.
Technology Manager

The Technology Manager post holder will be responsible for managing the
technology within the Colleges ICT enterprise applications, as well as
supervising certain personnel and systems within Product Development.
e-Learning Technologist

The e-Learning Technologist post holder will aim to encourage, support
and develop e-learning throughout the College by providing advice,
information, training and support for the College's VLE, currently
Blackboard, and seeking out appropriate learning materials for use
within the College VLE.
Web Developer

The Web Developer post holder will be responsible for developing the
College's web sites; implementing systems to maintain web site content;
developing web pages and web-based applications for various Departments
of the College; as well as supporting and assisting those responsible
for web content College.
